The calculator works without an account and keeps your gold-lot and buyer-quote entries in your browser.
Calculator inputs
Weight, purity, non-gold weight, buyer name, gross quote, and fee inputs are calculated in your browser. GoldOfferCheck does not receive those field values, and they are not included in the gold-price or analytics requests described below.
Local browser storage
The calculator may save up to five recent checks, your result-feedback choice, and a limited local queue of product events on this device. It also caches the most recently retrieved gold reference price and timestamp with a 15-minute freshness window. These records remain in your browser until the calculator removes older entries or you clear the saved checks or site data.
Hosting and security logs
The site is hosted behind Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical request and security information, such as IP address, browser or device details, requested pages, timestamps, and security events, to deliver, protect, debug, and operate the service.
Third-party reference price
Your browser requests a reference from GoldOfferCheck. Our server retrieves the public XAU/USD reference from Gold API without sending your calculator inputs. A last successful reference may be retained in the server cache for up to seven days and in your browser until site data is cleared. References older than 15 minutes are marked stale rather than presented as current.
Local product events
Successful calculation clicks, first offer entry and price-fetch failures are recorded in a capped queue of 100 events on this device. Automatic initial calculations do not count as successful calculation clicks. No weights, prices, buyer names, or offer amounts are included in these events. The queue is not sent to a remote analytics service.
Optional visitor statistics
Google Analytics 4 is off until you choose Allow statistics. Rejecting statistics leaves the calculator fully available. Before consent, this integration does not load Google analytics scripts or send analytics requests. The Analytics settings button in every page footer lets you turn statistics off or change your choice.
After consent, we send a page view containing a fixed public page URL and title, with all query parameters and fragments excluded. For selected search engines and social sites, we send only a general source domain; we omit other external sources. This deliberately limits referral attribution. Google also processes basic browser, device, language, session and network information, including the IP address needed to receive the request. GA4 may produce its standard session and engagement records. We do not send calculator inputs, weights, purity, valuations, buyer names or quotes, form values, email addresses, saved checks or local product events to Google.
We use first-party analytics cookies with names beginning goc_ga, configured as session cookies. Some browsers can restore session cookies when reopening a session. We save your allow or reject choice under goc_analytics_consent_v1 in local storage until you change it or clear site data. If this storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page. Turning statistics off removes the analytics frame, stops subsequent collection by this integration and clears its accessible first-party analytics cookies. It cannot undo requests already sent or delete records already held by Google. Other open tabs apply a saved change when the browser delivers the storage event.
Google Signals, advertising personalization, advertising storage, user IDs, cross-domain linking, enhanced measurement and automatic form measurement are not enabled for this integration. We do not connect the local calculator event queue to Google. The GA4 property controls retention of already collected records; this page does not claim a verified retention period. Google processes data according to its privacy policy and explains information from sites that use its services.
Data sharing and sale
GoldOfferCheck does not sell personal information and does not share calculator inputs with gold buyers. If advertising, accounts, submitted forms, or additional data collection are added, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before those features are enabled.
